Red Dead Online Registered

You may have noticed, but Red Dead Redemption 2 has garnered a little bit of attention since the weekend – I suppose for those of you who haven’t noticed let me fill you in on a few other things now that you’ve crawled out from your rock.

  • The race for the United States Presidency is between Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton.
  • The Oculus Rift was released.
  • David Bowie died.
  • Prince died.
  • Bob Dylan won a Nobel Prize for literature
  • And so on and so on…

You get the point. Now one of the main parts of my obsession with Red Dead Redemption was it’s amazing multiplayer, I have some amazing memories playing that game and being something of a ringer as such to people online. Starting fights with people and letting them gain the upper hand a little, before my buddy would come over the hill and we’d clean up and visa versa, with me coming over the hill in my horse who I lovingly named “Moo Cow Horse”. I’m digressing, but the online of Red Dead Redemption was an amazing part of the whole experience, and clearly this is going to happen again…

That’s right, although the link itself is dead and goes absolutely nowhere – it does indicate something: Red Dead Online could well will be a thing, the domain has been registered by Take-Two Interactive (albeit in August 2015) and if the way Rockstar have made Grand Theft Auto V Online into the gaming sensation it is Red Dead Online has the potential to be just as good if not better with 3 more years of experience to get things even better.

All that being said, with the amount of success Rockstar and Take Two have had with GTA Online, not having an online element to Red Dead Redemption 2 would be a massive step backwards.

What are your memories of Red Dead Redemption’s online component? Do you think this RedDead.Online domain will lead somewhere? Let us know in the comments below, the RGM Forums or on Twitter.
