Explore a Winter Wonderland in the New Forza Horizon 3 Expansion

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Someone grab Jon Snow!Grab your scarf and gloves. Prepare those ski goggles and turn up the heating as Forza Horizon 3 is about to (snow) drift fully into the winter season via a brand new expansion.

Blizzard Mountain will release on December 13th and bring a whole host of new content for the open world racer, including a series first: snow, ice, extreme elevations and blizzards to really give you a challenge. The ultimate goal, apparently to become “King of the Mountain.”

Windows Blog have detailed the upcoming wintry update and all the new content that comes with it, which is conveniently listed for you below (aren’t we good to you?):

  • “Become King of the Mountain” – 50 brand new events and challenges combine to form a new campaign for players. Three new game modes are also added to bring new variety to the game; Hill Climb, Blizzard and Descent race events.
  • New Bucket list Blueprint and Rival events.
  • New achievements – 28 new Xbox Live achievements worth 500 Gamerscore (see the full  achievement list here).
  • Brand new ‘barn find’ vehicle.
  • New vehicles – seven brand new on top of the previously noted Barn Find), including the 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX, the 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, classic rally cars and more.
  • Snow tires – any of the existing vehicles in Forza Horizon 3 can be equipped with snow tires, ensuring they are able to take on the new arctic tundra of Blizzard Mountain.

The Blizzard Mountain expansion for Forza Horizon 3 is available separately or as part of the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass, which gives players discounted access to two expansions for $34.99. Ultimate Edition owners receive a $10 discount on the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass if purchased before the end of 2016.

As Forza Horizon 3 is an “Xbox Play Anywhere” title, if you own the season pass or content on either Xbox One or Windows, you will receive the content on the opposing format (win!).
