No Man’s Sky COULD be adding land vehicles

No Man's Sky uses a "super formula" to generate it's many random worlds.

Well well, maybe Hello Games has something up their sleeve after all. After the already massive Foundation update was released for NMS that introduced base-building and expanded many different aspects of both plant life and customization, it seems that more may be on the way.

According to Redditor eegandj who discovered game files that have references to a buggy-like vehicle, tires, and tire tracks. This was the video they attached to the subreddit:

Hello Games has remained quiet on the possibility of vehicles, but it doesn’t seem like a reach in regards to the direction that Hello Game is going with No Man’s Sky. Land vehicles would allow exploration to not feel so time-consuming and fruitless by speeding up the process for player travel on each planet’s surface. This would certainly help strengthen each player’s willingness to go further away from their ship than originally planned, as a buggy would help make the long voyage back to your ship’s landing spot far more doable.

Although vehicles could be some time away from implementation within the game, Hello Games certainly seems ready to earn back the trust of players who felt slighted by the launch version of NMS. We shall see if they can do just that.
