Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Featurette released

With the impending release of Rogue One soon approaching, Disney has released a featurette, including snippets of interviews from Diego Luna, director Gareth Edwards, and Felicity Jones, as well as some behind-the-scenes shots of the movie. The video starts with Edwards discussing his passion for the project and how “if he had known at four-years-old that he’d be directing a Star Wars movie, he’d have planned it all of his life.” Diego Luna and Felicity Jones discuss how much of a joy filming has been and how rewarding it is to be able to work within such an in-depth universe like the Star Wars universe.

Edwards also goes into how the film’s events take place very close in proximity to Episode IV‘s plot. He then pointed out that in A New Hope‘s title screen crawl, the part where it mentions the rebels getting the plans for the Death Star is essentially where Rogue One fits in. Along with some shots from previous trailers, they have some great-looking moments involving the characters Diego Luna’s and Felicity Jones’s characters seemingly going undercover (with Alan Tudyk’s K2 android character right beside them).

All in all, the featurette helps build up anticipation for that December release date. Star Wars fans can take solace in that Rogue One will be in theaters in less than a month, so the wait is almost over.
