Disney, I think you’re getting a little too excessive with these trailers. It happened with Age of Ultron, Civil War, and now Rogue One is getting far too close to showing off too much. Don’t get me wrong, the trailers are entertaining and show off some great shots and sequences. However, I am of the mindset where less is more.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s hard to not get giddy when there’s an extra Darth Vader shot or two, but I’d much rather experience that for the first time in theaters rather than on my laptop. Now, this may simply be my personal preference (as I can easily become obsessed with watching trailers repeatedly if I’m not too careful), but caution is certainly necessary when given an abundance of trailers.
Nonetheless, this IS a pretty great trailer with plenty of epic shots like the ground fighters fighting against the empire, Donnie Yen, while blind, beating down his opponents, and the previously mentioned Vader shots. There’s plenty of reasons to be hyped for Rogue One, and at this point, I think I can speak for everyone when I say that this movie just needs to come out already.
