Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Announced

Telltale has an impressive history of success with a wide variety of episodic games. The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones, Batman have all been well-received. Now, announced during the 2016 Video Game Awards, Telltale is trying its hand at Guardians of the Galaxy, their first game featuring a setting from Marvel.

While the teaser doesn’t give us much information, the official website gives us confirmation of a bit more, specifically that the game will launch at some point in 2017, that it will allow players to experience multiple roles within the titular team and that Telltale is working closely with Marvel on the game’s production. It will be available digitally and on a season pass retail disc which will contain the first episode and will allow players to download the remainder as they arrive.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will be a five-part episodic game and will launch simultaneously on consoles, PC and mobile platforms. Are you excited to see Telltale try their hand at another series?
