The Suicide Squad themed game being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, according to a new report from Kotaku. Rumors abounded but it was never actually announced and it now appears it never will. Supposedly, executives who saw the progress being made on the game were not impressed and had it shut down. The sources for this information also stated that the studio was now focusing their efforts on a Batman game but with a twist; the main star would be Damian Wayne, son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. Damian in the comics is one of many characters to take up the mantle of Robin, as well as that of the Batman in one universe. 
If players are going to be taking up the mantle through Damian, it will definitely make for a differently themed Batman game. This kind of change could definitely be what the series needs in order to shake things up after everything that took place in Arkham Knight. Unfortunately, given how recently the Suicide Squad game was canceled, it looks like we will have to wait a while for more concrete details to emerge.
