Woody Harrelson Joins Young Han Solo Film

Star Wars made a fantastic return to cinemas with The Force Awakens in 2015. The first major standalone “Anthology” film in the universe, Rogue One, just arrived December last year to applause from critics and audiences alike. While we are still waiting on the first trailer for Episode 8, which comes out later this year, there has been an update on the next Anthology film. The currently untitled film about a younger Han Solo has a new addition to its cast, none other than Woody Harrelson.

Woody Harrelson In this report on the official Star Wars website, Harrelson was announced to be the latest member of the ever-growing confirmed cast, which now includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke in an unconfirmed role. Commenting on Harrelson, directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller commented that “We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody. His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique.”

While there aren’t many more details available about the film, hopefully we can look forward to some more information in the months to come. It is currently scheduled to hit theaters at some point in 2018.
