Tom Happs’ business partner, Dan Adelman, has clarified that they are waiting on Nintendo’s approval to work on an Axiom Verge Nintendo Switch port. He also stated they have been waiting for over a year.

If you’ve been enjoying your Nintendo Switch, or have been waiting for more games to arrive on the system before purchasing it, we’ve got great news. Today, Tom Happs of Thomas Happ Games confirmed that Axiom Verge is being ported to the Nintendo Switch. The popular side-scroller is currently available on PlayStation 4, PC, PS Vita, Xbox One, Wii U, macOS and Linux. Needless to say, an Axiom Verge Nintendo Switch port fits right in, given how many other platforms it’s been released on.

Tom Happs also mentioned that it would be a physical release in addition to being available digitally. The physical version will come with a manual, a documentary about the game and potentially a soundtrack. No release date was mentioned, so hopefully we’ll find out more soon.
