Call of Duty: WWII Full Reveal on April 26th

Call of Duty: WWII
This will be the 15th main game in the Call of Duty franchise.

We’ve known for some time that Call of Duty was heading back to its roots this year however, there were not many concrete details. Now, at the very least, we have a title and reveal date. Call of Duty: WWII will be fully unveiled on April 26th, 2017. The livestream will take place at 10AM Pacific Standard Time. For the countdown to the reveal and the livestream itself, go to the official website here. You can also check out the history of World War II in Call of Duty right here on the official blog.

This year’s rotation of Call of Duty is being handled by Sledgehammer Games. Sledgeghammer previously developed Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. It’ll certainly be interesting to see exactly what the gameplay and setting they’ve come up with here entail, besides the obvious.

On the one hand, this might appropriately play into gamers’ nostalgia. On the other hand, World War 2 as a setting has been covered in multiple games, so maybe this isn’t a good choice. Considering how Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare underperformed, it’s also a possibility that gamers are simply becoming a bit tired with Call of Duty as a franchise. Only time will tell.

We will see you on April 26th with more details.
