Some of you may recall one of Jim Henson’s works, The Dark Crystal. This strange film was quite a bit darker than most of what Henson was known for at the time. Still, it became beloved with a dedicated following all the same. However, in a surprising announcement, it looks like we’ll see more of the bizarre world of Thra soon. Netflix is reviving The Dark Crystal, as a 10-episode series called The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

Netflix is on a roll to say the least. While there’s not much to go on, it’s fantastic that The Jim Henson Company will be working on this project. Presumably this will be a prequel to the film, however ultimately we’ll have to just wait and see. For more information, here’s the description given on the official website:
