Ubisoft may be working on new Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell title

According to a trademark filing registered last month, a new Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell title may be on the way.

Given E3 is this month, there is a chance Ubisoft will be dropping a megaton announcement at their presentation.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell originally made its appearance in 2002 on the original Xbox, Microsoft Windows, Mac, PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance.

Since then, six Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell titles have been released on various platforms with the latest being Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist in 2013 which, scored an 84 and 7.7 on Metacritic.com for critic and user reviews respectively.
