Official Cinematic Fortnite trailer released

Fortnite
Fortnite was initially announced back in 2011

Epic Games released a cinematic trailer for Fortnite today. The trailer shows off the four main character classes: Outlander, Soldier, Ninja and Constructor who all team up to save a mother and daughter in an abandoned burger joint called “DurrBurger”.

Whilst preparing for the incoming Storm, and the enemies you must defend against, we see some of the crafting and building elements of the game. Barriers can be created, walls sealed up and traps can be set.

If you haven’t been following Fortnite since it’s announcement back in 2011, check out the gameplay trailer below from E3 2017.

Fortnite will initially release as a paid early access beta on July 25, 2017. If you purchased a Founder’s Pack, you will be able to start playing on July 21, 2017. Sometime in 2018, Fortnite will become a free to play title. Until then, you can wait it out or you can pre-order now on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Take note though, there are a number of pre-order options ranging from the standard edition at $39.99 USD all the way up to the $149.99 USD version which includes a ton of extra game content and two digital copies of the standard game to share with friends.

In case you’re wondering, cross-platform play is not available at this time however, PC/Mac and PlayStation 4 owners have the ability to use cross-progression by linking their PSN accounts to their Epic ID. Unfortunately, Xbox One will not have cross-progression with PC/Mac.
