Crackdown 3 has been delayed until Spring 2018

Crackdown 3 has been delayed
Crackdown 3 was originally supposed to launch on November 7th, 2017

Originally announced at E3 2014, Crackdown 3 has long been touted as an example of Microsoft’s cloud computing render capabilities. Earlier this year at E3 2017, it was finally given at firm release date of November 7th, 2017. This would have meant releasing the same day as Microsoft’s powerful new console revision, the Xbox One X. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll be waiting a bit longer to drop buildings and step up our boom. Shannon Loftis, General Manager of Microsoft Studios Publishing, has confirmed that Crackdown 3 has been delayed until Spring 2018.

When I got to play Crackdown 3 at E3 2017, I really enjoyed it. With that said however, this is a blow to anyone who was looking forward to playing it this year, as well as the Xbox lineup of exclusives as a whole. Obviously it’s important for the game to meet a certain standard of quality when it releases however, it does eventually have to come out. Hopefully this is the final delay that will give the teams at Sumo Digital, Ruffian Games and Reagant Games the time they need.

If you’d like to learn more about the game, here’s the official synopsis:

Stop crime as a super-powered Agent of justice in Crackdown 3’s sandbox of mayhem and destruction.
