Launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins brings the hype

The brotherhood begins

Assassin's Creed Origins

Despite not being up to date, I am really looking forward to Assassin’s Creed Origins. I haven’t slogged through Assassin’s Creed Unity yet (and it is a slog). It doesn’t have any level of hold on me, my desire to complete it is non-existent; other than it means I can play Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which I am looking forward to playing. I am fairly strict with myself with Creed series; I’ll not play a newer title until I’ve gone through the older ones. I guess I like to follow the story.

That being said, my temptation to just boot up Assassin’s Creed Origins tomorrow is high. I love the setting; I’m a huge fan of the Ancient Egypt theatre. I’ve been watching a lot of the Stargate SG-1 series too; so obviously I’m going to pretend I’m playing as Teal’c taking out the Goa’uld.

If you’re on the fence, the launch trailer is certainly made to get you in the mood to play. You can check it out below:

It looks so good, on all levels. Whether it plays as good as it looks remains to be seen, though we only have one day left to find out. Reviews have begun trickling through and they paint a positive picture. It seems the break the series took has done it the world of good. Perhaps a two yearly Creed release is the true path to follow.

Assassin’s Creed Origins launches tomorrow (October 27th) for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It includes enhancements for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X owners.

Are you picking up the return of the Assassins tomorrow? Or will you be holding off for another title (tomorrow is a big release day). Let us know in the comments below or over the RGM Twitter.
