You may recall that a while ago, we reported that For Honor was getting dedicated servers at some point in the future. Well, testing of those dedicated servers is beginning and you can help out. For Honor’s dedicated server test will be open from December 14th to December 18th. If you don’t own the game, it’s not a problem as it will be free-to-play during this testing period.
This announcement was made via the official Twitter account:
On Dec 14th we begin our Dedicated Servers Open Test on ALL PLATFORMS and open to EVERYONE, even if you don't own For Honor.
We need your help to fully test this exciting new step for the game!

In order to join the open test, simply hop on your Xbox One, PC or PS4, search for “For Honor – Free Open Test” in the store and download. Then you’ll be good to go once it goes live.
Opening the game up for everybody to play is a great idea during this testing phase, as it encourages new players to jump on and further helps revitalize the playerbase. One of the major complaints about For Honor has been its massive server issues, so hopefully those disconnects will soon be a thing of the past.
If you haven’t tried For Honor yet, this is a great opportunity to do so. If you’d like to know ore about the game, check out our review here.
