While we’ve known for some time that a new Tomb Raider game was on the way, there hasn’t been a truly ‘official’ confirmation of when we’d see it. Until today, anyways, when the official Tomb Raider account on Twitter made this post, confirming that the next Tomb Raider game was going to be revealed in 2018.

Very interesting and exciting! I had previously theorized that we’d see this title unveiled during the 2017 Game Awards however it looks like that won’t be the case. Still, it’s definitely good to see they are taking a ‘show then release soon afterwards’ approach. Given how successful the first two games in the rebooted series have been, I’m excited to see what’s next for Lara Croft.
