If I’m honest, I’m feeling like a deer in headlights right now. So much news coming out of Gamescom 2018 already. Not even sure where to start. While why not start with Devil May Cry 5? Start with a bang, a chopped off head, and murdered demons!
During the Inside Xbox livestream, it was announced that Capcom is bringing the next game in the series to us come March 8, 2019! Amazing right? I thought we’d be waiting a lot longer.
Check out the new gameplay trailer:
Of course, it’s just ridiculous; standard Devil May Cry, which stars both Dante (of the original games) and Nero from the fourth installment. Surfing, mid-air on your sword? Check! A motorbike that splits in half as a chainsaw-esque dual weapon? Check! Other ridiculousness which makes us love Devil May Cry all the more? Double check! Nero even has a variety of mechanical arms provided by his sidekick, Nico (as seen in the trailer).
It’s safe to say that this looks excellent from the trailers and it should keep fans happy. We’ll have to wait and see if it holds up when it releases in March next year.
For now, you check out 15 minutes of gameplay footage from the Gamescom demo that IGN has put out below:
