Announced earlier today by Major Nelson, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is heading to Xbox Game Pass! Although the original release was mired by a poor multiplayer experience, the team at 343 Industries have persevered and this “re-launch” brings more matchmaking improvements, offline LAN (FINALLY), Xbox One X enhanced graphics.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be included with @XboxGamePass beginning September 1! Experience Halo CE: Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4 – all updated with improved matchmaking, offline LAN, faster load times, Xbox One X visual enhancements, and more. pic.twitter.com/FOXgThA6y3

Add another blockbuster bundle to the Xbox Game Pass’ library of over 100 titles. We’re happy to learn that 343 Industries will still continue to update the game moving forward.
There’s no better time to try Xbox Game Pass for yourself! 1 month of the Netflix-like subscription service usually costs $9.99US/$11.00CDN however, you can sign up today for $2.00US/$2.00CDN and get an extra month free! There’s also a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers.
We’re looking forward to trying out offline LAN mode which brings back some good memories of staying up all night playing Halo 3. It might also be the reason for me to pick up a 4K TV this holiday season.
