Players who have downloaded Animal Crossing: New Horizons have some good news. A launch update will be available to download well before the game is released. That way players will be able to just jump right into the game.
[Announcement] The Ver 1.1.0 update for #AnimalCrossing: New Horizons will be available ahead of launch, starting at 6pm PT, 3/18. Customers who have preloaded the game after purchasing from Nintendo eShop will be able to download the update data at this time. #ACNH

If you bought the physical copy, don’t expect the download to be huge. The game is about 6GB to download on the Nintendo Switch. It really is refreshing to see such a small file size when most of the console games are coming in around 50-80GB. If you’re wondering what the hell I’m talking about. Here is the description for the game from Nintendo’s web site:
“Animal Crossing: New Horizons lets you escape to a world all your own. It’s a place you can create to match your style. So let your imagination run wild… and share it with all your friends! Explore, create and customize your island paradise anytime.”
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available on March 20th. This game’s release will be a big relief to all of those who are stuck inside waiting for this pandemic to end.
You may have missed this story with everything going on – CD Projekt Red will be working on a Witcher game after they get Cyberpunk 2077 to the gamers. Don’t forget to check out our Facebook page and Twitter account in the meantime.
