Microsoft has made a big announcement today during Gamescom 2017, one that I think old-school fans will be very happy with. Age of Empires IV is coming! You read that correctly. This exciting announcement comes with a trailer that is narrated by Charles Dance and celebrates the history of the franchise.

We don’t have many details right now other than the fact that Relic Entertainment is developing it and Microsoft Studios is handling publishing. The game appears to be a Windows 10 exclusive, though we’ll need to wait for further confirmation. Regardless, this is definitely wonderful to see. I grew up loving the Age of Empires series, so I’ll be watching this with keen interest.
