Cancelled Horror Game ‘Allison Road’ Back in Production

Fans of horror games have had a real rollercoaster ride when it comes to the chequered development history of Allison Road. It all began when a mysterious title appeared on the PlayStation Store named P.T., a short and crazily scary teaser for an apparent Silent Hill game being developed by Hideo Kojima and the talented Guillermo del Toro. Unfortunately, that game was cancelled within a year of it’s announcement and all news pertaining to the teaser and Silent Hill in general, ceased altogether.

Some time after, a video appeared showing footage of a game named Allison Road which bore a striking resemblance to the original P.T. teaser. Being developed by a small team called Lilith Ltd.,  after a short kickstarter and some wrangling between the developer and a new publisher, this title was also canned.

Well, according to IGN, it looks as though Allison Road will get a third chance to terrify gamers everywhere. The original developer, Christian Kesler, has said in an interview that he has revived the game and is working on it solo under the banner of his new company, Far From Home. No release date or other details were mentioned and if he continues to develop it on his own, you’d have to think none will be forthcoming any time soon.

In the meantime, take a look at the impressive Allison Road prototype trailer posted on the Lilith YouTube page back when the game was in active development.
