GWENT: The Witcher Card Game public beta announced

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game public beta
Until now, the beta has been limited to selected players on Xbox One and PC.

It’s all coming up Witcher today! If you love Gwent, we have some great news. Today, the GWENT: The Witcher Card Game public beta was announced!

Benjamin Lee, Development Director at CD Projekt Red, had this to say:

Public Beta is the next step in the game’s development process, one that we’d be honored to continue alongside everyone who’s been with us thus far. It’s also a chance for many new gamers to play GWENT for the first time and we’re looking forward to making the game even better with their help.”

If you’re in the closed beta, you won’t need to download a new beta. However, you won’t be able to access the game from May 22nd to May 24th while server transitions take place.

The public beta will wipe the slate clean and everyone will start with the same resources. Anyone who played in the closed beta will get various rewards, such as Card Kegs. The public beta will open on May 24th and will be available on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. Any future beta announcements will be covered here on RGM. For more information on the game however, here’s the official description:

In GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, gamers clash with their friends in fast-paced duels that combine bluffing, on-the-fly decision making and careful deck construction. The game is played over a best-of-three series of rounds, as players unleash their hand by slinging spells and diverse units with special abilities and use clever tricks to deceive their opponents.
