The Frozen Wilds expansion takes players further north than in the main game

Many gamers have already experienced Horizon Zero Dawn when it came out earlier this year. If however, you are one of the ones who has not yet played it, or you’re simply looking for an excuse to dive back into Aloy’s world, then we’ve got great news. Originally announced at E3 2017, we’ve known for some time that an expansion called The Frozen Wilds was on the way. Today, we can share that Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds release date has been announced and you can look forward to playing this new adventure on November 7th, 2017.

Here’s a short teaser for the expansion:

The description certainly sounds awesome:

Set in icy territories to the north, this new chapter of Aloy’s journey adds a new area to explore, new mysteries to uncover and new, highly lethal machines to take on.

Additionally, if you pre-order the DLC, you’ll get a special digital avatar as a bonus. You can pre-order right here. The Frozen Wilds is $19.99 USD, or $14.99 USD for PS+ members that pre-order. Just like the base game, The Frozen Wilds will have HDR and boosted visuals for PS4 Pro owners. If you haven’t picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn yet, I recommend reading our review here.
