Immersive web interface for Netflix to arrive in June

Immersive web interface

Earlier this year at CES, Netflix demonstrated their new immersive web interface that will bring its look more in line with what we are used to from mobile devices and consoles.

If you have been getting annoyed with how slow loading can be due to the scrolling carousels then you will be pleased by the changes on the way to you with this update.

More of a thumbnail style of presentation is what you can expect, similar to this website actually, which allows you to choose what you do and do not want to expand so you are not waiting ages for everything to load.

Instead of hovering over an item, which could sometimes take quite a while to load, just to find out basic information like running time and description, that information will now be available upfront. This eliminates the need for you to be continuously waiting for everything to load.

So if you are used to the more immersive experience from Netflix that you get on your TV or console, you will really enjoy this new interface.

Some users are already benefiting from this new interface, just how many we don’t know however the worldwide launch will be in June 2015.

It’s been a long 4 year wait for an update of this kind for those that indulge on Netflix via their PC so this is most certainly a very welcomed upgrade.

Once a date has been announced and a more detailed list of exactly what the update will change I will be sure to bring you the details.
