If you’re a Nintendo Switch owner and are feeling perturbed that you don’t get to play Assassin’s Creed Origins when it releases October 27th, fret not. You get Super Mario Odyssey and to be honest I am super jealous of that fact. I need to re-acquire my Switch (bloody expensive car mechanics!).
If you’re not sure what I am talking about, check out gameplay trailer below. It is seven minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Mario title. The video came out of the Nintendo Direct event that took place yesterday.

In the new video we get to see more of the world Mario will be exploring in Odyssey. We also get to see some more of the gameplay with Mario’s new compatriot, Cappy. There’s also some more details shared on the new Amiibos and a camera mode, dubbed ‘Snapshot mode’.
It’s certainly not hard to be impressed by everything about this so far. It just looks incredible and I really can’t wait to get my hands on it. Even though I’ll have to wait.
