The hype was real regarding the launch of the new Persona game from Atlus. It was released during the month of September in Japan, for both PS3 and PS4, and nichegamer.com reported that Persona 5 became the fastest selling game in the franchise, with more than 337k copies, about 80% PS4 and 20% PS3.
New information was also reported by personacentral.com now that Persona 5 has shipped more than 550k copies, including digital downloads. To celebrate this milestone, the character designer Shigenori Soejima has drawn a special illustration (shown just before), the game director Katsura Hashino has written a message of thanks for the great reception and Atlus released 2 free DLC costume sets.
I am beyond excited at this point for this game. Persona has always been a franchise that I have loved for years, and everything Atlus has released under the Shin Megami Tensei (which Persona is a part of) has always been of absolute quality. I can’t wait to play this in February 2017 (I pre-ordered the Take Your Heart Premium Edition. I want to play the game…now !). Are you a Persona fan? Will you play the new one?
