Rocket League Could Come to the Nintendo Switch

Rocket League
Rocket League first released on PS4 and PC back on July 7th, 2015, coming to Xbox One on February 17th, 2016

The Nintendo Switch launched less than a month ago, with incredibly warm reception to Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, one of the questions on many gamers minds is just what kind of support they can expect the console to have in the future. Specifically, whether or not third-party developers will be putting their games on the Switch. According to IGN, it is possible that Rocket League could come to the Nintendo Switch.

Psyonix Studios’ Vice President, Jeremy Dunham, stated that:

Just like all the other platforms, we are evaluating it. We’re looking to see what the technical requirements are. We’re looking to see what kind of true community demand there is. We’re looking to see how it would benefit the community as a whole. So we’re still in that evaluation phase. It’s definitely too early to say that it wouldn’t happen, but it’s also definitely too early to say that it would.”

I certainly hope it makes its way over to the platform. Strong third-party support will help Nintendo and the portability of any game on the system is a huge plus. Hopefully we’ll find out more of Psyonix Studios’ plans fairly soon.
