The First Nintendo Switch ‘Hands-On’ Event Announced

January 13th is going to be a big day for the Switch

It’s hard to believe that we are less than a month until Christmas. 2016 has been flying by. It’s even harder to believe that we are less than two months away from a price, a release date and details of how it is to play the brand new Nintendo Switch!

Yep, Nintendo have finally confirmed details for when people outside of their secret underground research laboratory somewhere in Japan can put their hands to the new console-handheld combo machine. Detailing the announcement from Nintendo, Polygon has listed what is known about the upcoming hands-on event.

The event will be a private, five-hour chance to play the Nintendo Switch in a location yet to be determined. The event will, however, take place in New York on January 13th, hours after Nintendo have streamed their “Tokyo Webcast” presentation, presumably where they will detail specifics relating to the console to the media and investors.

That’s about it for now, come January 13th though I am sure there will be a mountain of articles detailing all we will know about the Switch.

If you’ve forgotten (or just wanted reminding) why the world is pretty excited about the Switch make sure you watch the announcement video from last month.
