The previous version of the official Xbox application made it possible to manage your friends and send them text messages. Starting today, after a couple of weeks of tests, it is now possible to speak with them with Xbox Live party chat. It is a functionality that definitely gives an edge to the application compared to its predecessor. You can be in contact with your friends playing together online wherever you are, at any time. There is no need to use a third-party application anymore, which is a great asset for Microsoft.
