Following a series of rumors over the last few days, Square-Enix has confirmed on their twitter account that Final Fantasy 15 has been delayed. The news sent fans into meltdown mode and is disappointing for those looking forward to the latest entry in this famous series of RPGs. The only upside is that we will only have to wait a short while to play the game as Square-Enix has also announced that the new launch will take place on November 29th, almost two months after the original release date.
An “important message” has been posted on YouTube featuring Game Director Hajime Tabata detailing why the delay has occurred. He said:
“From the moment we joined this project, our vision was to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series. Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this.”
