Doom and Wolfenstein II are coming to Nintendo Switch
In addition to Skyrim, Bethesda is bringing two more games over to the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo and Bethesda teamed up to drop some incredible announcements in yesterday’s Nintendo Direct. If you’re a Nintendo Switch owner and you’ve found the selection of first-person shooters lacking, you’re about to be really happy. Doom and Wolfenstein II are coming to Nintendo Switch!

I’m still a little shocked honestly. These are fantastic additions to the Nintendo Switch’s holiday lineup. Additionally, they give quite a bit of much-needed third-party support, something that Nintendo hasn’t always been successful with, historically speaking. With Skyrim already announced a while ago, Bethesda is providing major support to the Nintendo Switch.

Doom arrives on Nintendo Switch sometime in Holiday 2017 and includes the campaign and multiplayer modes. Unfortunately, Snapmap will not be available in this version of the game. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has a much more vague release date of 2018. We’ll share the exact release dates when they are announced.

If you don’t know much about these games, here are the basic synopses, as well as links to the official website:

Developed by id software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and created multiplayer Deathmatch, DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
