Man you gotta love the Japanese. I mean from their love lives causing real worries that their nation will die out (seriously) to their infamous anime’s and game shows, there’s no denying that the Japanese are a unique nation when it comes to damn near everything.
And this latest trailer for Yakuza 6 (or Ryu Ga Gotoku 6 as it’s known in Japan) pretty much confirms their uniqueness. Check this trailer out below courtesy of Yakuza Fan on YouTube.
Right, at first I thought this was a compilation of various different games but no, these are all going to be playable in Yakuza 6. So let’s go through them:
- Tame stray cats
- Pet cats
- Breed an army of loving cats (at the moment I am well aware that both Bella Ryse and my daughter are bouncing up and down at this prospect)
- Play Baseball as if it were an EA Sports game
- Go Diving
- Shoot Fish underwater
- Breathe underwater like some kind of mer-man
- Dodge LAZER EYED sharks
- Get jiggy online with (I hope) just about legal looking Japanese girls
- Morph Yakuza into Street Fighter
- Play a block stacking game that looks a mix between Tetris and Bejewelled
- Do business over Sake?
- Carry a baby
- Make a baby happy
- Play Golf
- Play Darts
- Play taipei?
- Play a tiny guitar, but not so tiny as to be a ukulele
- Play a late 80’s / early 90’s racing game
- Play a side scrolling flying shooting game
- Cook?
I love this trailer. I think it’s the best trailer I’ve seen in…forever. Yakuza 6 looks like it should just be titled, Japan – The Video Game.
Yakuza 6 is scheduled for release in Japan on December 6th, with no Western release date as yet announced.
