Battlefront 2 is coming Fall 2017, said to be “extremely deep and engaging”

With the massive success of EA’s 2015 Battlefront, it seems only fitting that a sequel would be pushed along and developed at a rapid pace. EA clearly agrees, with the EA’s CFO Blake Jorgenson quotes seemingly confirming that Battlefront 2 will be coming out Fall 2017. The somewhat critically divisive, but undeniably financially successful multiplayer shooter with sales totaling upwards of 14 million copies sold.

Jorgenson, while speaking during an earnings call, stated that the sequel is coming “a year from now,” according to Polygon. He also stated that they’re looking to make sure it’s an “extremely deep and engaging offering.”

EA has stated in previous interviews that the worlds will be “bigger and better” with potential content from the new movies released like The Force Awakens. With EA’s plans to make the series have annual installments, there’s only going to be more and more Battlefront games as the years go on. Here’s hoping that Dice and EA are willing to work together to combat the criticisms of 2015’s Battlefront so that the sequel can go the way of Titanfall 2 and reach the high level of potential that wasn’t quite reached in the initial release.

Also, could players get a quality single-player mode, EA? Pretty please and thank you.
