Resident Evil is back, and by the looks of the trailer, it is more frightening than ever before.

The trailer itself posted on Capcom’s Biohazard YouTube page is an english trailer for the Japanese version of the game Biohazard 7: Resident Evil. To clarify, the game has always been called Biohazard in Japan, but was rebranded for the American release as Resident Evil in 1996.

Those who knew this fact would be keen to notice that Capcom is combining the names this time around with the American version now being titled Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and vise versa.

However, the name is not the only change as the Resident Evil franchise is going somewhere they have never been before, first person. The change seems to be akin to the style of the latest horror hits such as Outlast, Alien Isolation, and the canceled PT, but man does it offer some serious scares.

Even in the short trailer, everything shows that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is back to scaring you, rather than just sending hordes of zombies for you to shoot.

If the trailer gets you excited for the game you can play the demo for the game on both PS4 and Xbox One. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard releases January 24th, 2017.
