I think in this upside down world of ours we could all benefit from a bit more “love and care“. Well, it seems Spyro certainly does as his new upcoming trilogy remaster is getting that additional love and care.
Alas, that means for us, the eager gamers, we will have to wait a bit longer. Spyro: Reignited Trilogy will now release on November 13, 2018; just shy of two months from its original release of September 21, 2018.
Check out the trailer below:
The news comes from developers Toys for Bob who told all on a blog post on publisher Activision’s website. Paul Yan, Co-Studio Head, explained the situation:
“Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar, and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy will include the three original titles from the PlayStation: Spyro the Dragon, Ripto’s Rage and Year of the Dragon. It will now release on November 13, 2018, on Xbox One and PS4.
Although a little disappointed, I’ve got plenty to play so happy to wait a little longer. Especially if it means we get a better game for the wait too. How do you feel about the delay? Let us know in the comments below or over on the RGM Twitter or Facebook pages!
