Sony announces withdrawal from PAX East

Sony

Greatness will have to await a bit longer it would seem, as Sony announces they have decided not to attend PAX East in Boston this year due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Titles such as The Last of Part II, Marvel’s Iron Man VR, Nioh 2, and Final Fantasy VII Remake, were all on the list of playable games during the event. The company advises though that they “felt this was the safest option as the situation is changing daily. We are disappointed to cancel our participation in this event, but the health and safety of our global workforce is our highest concern.”

PAX East 2020 opens it’s doors this coming Thursday, February 27 at 10:00am Eastern time and is open for the remainder of the weekend (schedule below).
