When watching the first trailer for Mafia III, some famous 60’s songs such as "All Along the Watchtower" and "House of the Rising Sun" are featured in the background. As expected, those songs will be included in the game, but they will not be the only classics that the game has to offer.

During PAX East last month, the developers behind the open world game said they have a "lot of good music" although they did not give many names out. As expected, they have not determined all the soundtrack because the music licensing is a complex issue, but are happy with the choices they have made.

In addition to the songs, the soundtrack for Mafia III will also include "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield, and "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones. With the Vietnam War as one of the themes in Mafia III we can expect many solemn songs to make the list.

Also, Hangar 13 ensures that there will be many different cars to drive including muscle cars, jeeps, and even military vehicles. Producer, Andy Wilson, said each vehicle has its own skills and more specific management, which is a close experience to a simulation.

The Creative Director, Haden Blackman, talked about how players can choose how they want to play Mafia III, describing "the story of each player as unique." As such, players can choose how they want to move around the world, with either violent or passive intentions. "There is no right way to play the game," he said.

Finally, Blackman advised that, Mafia III, will feature a number of options that players will see long-term consequences from, affecting both the history and the appearance of the protagonists, even the outcome of multiple positive results may have consequences in the future that are not favorable.

Mafia III will be released for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on October 7th.

I never played a Mafia game, only the demo of Mafia 2 (I think), but I like what I’ve been seeing about Mafia 3. Will keep an eye on it
