PS Plus Free Games for October 2018

Today, on the Official PlayStation blog, they announced the PS Plus free games for October 2018. The time has come to enjoy an iconic Halloween figure in a fun multiplayer game! A multitude of indie games will also fill up our gaming time. This is going to be a fun month.

Here is the full lineup:

Friday the 13th: The Game (PS4)

Friday the 13th: The Game will strive to give every single player the tools to survive, escape or even try to take down the man who cannot be killed. Each and every gameplay session will give you an entirely new chance to prove if you have what it takes not only to survive, but to best the most prolific killer in cinema history, a slasher with more kills than any of his rivals!

Meanwhile, Jason will be given an array of abilities to track, hunt and kill his prey. Stalk from the shadows, scare your targets and kill them when the time is right in as brutal a fashion as you can imagine. Take control of the legendary killer that is Jason Voorhees and terrify those unfortunate enough to cross your path!

Laser League (PS4)

Vaporise the opposition in the light-speed future of sport.

An all new multiplayer experience – easy to pick up, but near impossible to put down, Laser League starts as a simple test of your reflexes, but soon becomes a strategic showdown with deep team tactics.

Combine your class abilities, dominate the pitch, eliminate your opponents and claim your place on the podium.

Beat Mastery challenges and level up to unlock hundreds of kits and customisations. Rise up the leaderboards and become a sports legend of 2150.

Laser League, like nothing you’ve played before.

Master Reboot (PS3)

Imagine a world where death is no longer final, where precious memories are saved to enjoy forever, where your soul is immortal, welcome to the Soul Cloud. Upload your soul to our dedicated servers and relax knowing that a part of you will live on for eternity. That favorite holiday, happy moments from your childhood, meeting that special someone for the first time. All these memories saved for your digital soul for your family to revisit again and again.

The Bridge (PS4, PS3, Vita)

The Bridge is a 2D logic puzzle game that forces the player to reevaluate their preconceptions of physics and perspective. It is Isaac Newton meets M. C. Escher. Manipulate gravity to redefine the ceiling as the floor while venturing through impossible architectures. Explore increasingly difficult worlds, each uniquely detailed and designed to leave the player with a pronounced sense of intellectual accomplishment. The Bridge exemplifies games as an art form, with beautifully hand-drawn art in the style of a black-and-white lithograph.

Rocketbirds 2: Evolution (PS4, Vita)

This Story Tastes nothing like chicken! – Step into the webbed feet of “Hardboiled Chicken”, the series’ undeniably plucky superchicken secret agent and venture into the game’s full Story Mode campaign. Thanks to the return of the evil penguin despot, iL Putzki, Hardboiled must hunt down and eliminate him once and for all using jetpacks, new guns, disguises and skills only fit for the Bond of super-chicken agents.

2064 Read Only Memories (PS4, Vita)

Neo-San Francisco, 2064 AD. Your life as a struggling journalist is interrupted by the world’s first sapient machine, a ROM (Relationship and Organizational Manager) named Turing. Together, you and the quirky robot will encounter a colorful cast of locals and overcome challenges as you uncover the city’s secrets behind the overlapping futures of technology and humanity.

Can you survive in Neo-SF? Or will the mystery go unsolved?

Multiplayer games fills up the upper echelon of next month’s lineup.  The fact that it is spreading from horror to sci-fi to futurustic sports constitutes something that I think will be fun to explore.
